Start with work you understand well enough to review. AI can help produce a draft, organize material, or suggest options. You still decide what is accurate, relevant, and appropriate to use.
Three ideas to keep close
- Define the job. “Help with my work” is broad. “Turn these notes into a draft checklist” gives the task a shape.
- Expect gaps. A fluent answer can still be incomplete or wrong. Confidence of presentation is not evidence.
- Keep the judgment. Review facts, assumptions, tone, and the consequences of acting on the output.
TRY THIS
Choose one low-stakes task you already know how to do. Write down what a good result looks like. Ask an AI tool for a draft, then compare it with your criteria.
A useful question
“What would I need to check before I trusted this enough to use it?”
