Make sense of AI, one task at a time.

Start with work you understand well enough to review. AI can help produce a draft, organize material, or suggest options. You still decide what is accurate, relevant, and appropriate to use.

Three ideas to keep close

  1. Define the job. “Help with my work” is broad. “Turn these notes into a draft checklist” gives the task a shape.
  2. Expect gaps. A fluent answer can still be incomplete or wrong. Confidence of presentation is not evidence.
  3. Keep the judgment. Review facts, assumptions, tone, and the consequences of acting on the output.
TRY THIS

Choose one low-stakes task you already know how to do. Write down what a good result looks like. Ask an AI tool for a draft, then compare it with your criteria.

A useful question

“What would I need to check before I trusted this enough to use it?”
